BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
APAC Region
JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager will primary focus on negotiating new interconnects with mobile operators in ASIA (APAC) region, as well as direct agreements with Over the Top (OTT) service providers. A main objective should be to manage and achieve exclusivity projects.
He / She is an individual who has already established connection within the African region.
He / She will have a proven track record in successful negotiations and a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry in the specified region. Additionally, the role requires to actively attend and participate in telecom conferences to enhance industry knowledge and network with potential partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Interconnect Negotiations
- Identify and engage potential mobile operators in the APAC region for Voice and SMS interconnect negotiations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within target mobile operators.
- Lead negotiations for favorable interconnect agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Direct Agreements with OTTs:
- Identify and approach relevant OTT service providers for potential direct agreements related to Voice and SMS services.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with OTTs, focusing on achieving favorable terms and expanding business opportunities.
Market Analysis and Strategy
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competition, and potential business opportunities in the Voice and SMS industry within the APAC region.
- Develop and implement effective business strategies to optimize growth and revenue generation.
- Telecom Conference Participation:
- Actively attend and participate in telecom conferences and industry events.
- Network with industry professionals, potential partners, and stakeholders to enhance industry knowledge and build beneficial relationships.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and legal, to align business objectives and ensure seamless implementation of agreements.
- Provide input and insights to improve products and services based on market feedback and competitive intelligence.
Compliance and Legal Adherence
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements related to interconnect agreements and OTT partnerships.
- Work closely with the legal department to review and finalize contracts, ensuring they meet necessary legal standards and organizational policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Voice and SMS industry with a focus on business development and negotiations.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating interconnect agreements with mobile operators and direct agreements with OTTs.
- In-depth understanding of the telecommunications industry, particularly in the APAC region.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with potential partners and stakeholders.
- Active participation in telecom conferences and industry events.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Possession of a foreign passport is highly desirable.
