Job Purpose:
The Territory Sales Executive is responsible for developing sales within assigned territories across Nigeria, maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role supports the Area Sales Manager in achieving sales targets, expanding market coverage, and coordinating with warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Development
- Execute sales plans and activities within the assigned territory to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Visit existing and potential customers regularly to generate sales opportunities and strengthen business relationships.
- Identify and develop new customers within key industries including detergents, cosmetics, food, water treatment, and other industrial sectors.
- Promote Leaderchem's product portfolio and provide customers with technical and commercial information.
- Prepare quotations, follow up on inquiries, and support negotiations to secure new orders.
Market Development
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements within the territory.
- Identify new market opportunities and provide recommendations to the Area Sales Manager.
- Gather and report market intelligence to support business growth and strategic planning.
Customer Service & Order Management
- Ensure prompt follow-up on customer inquiries, orders, and complaints.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction and support customer retention initiatives.
- Follow up on customer payments and assist in collection activities when required.
Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the local warehouse to ensure stock availability for customers within the territory.
- Monitor customer demand and communicate sales forecasts to support inventory planning.
- Assist in maintaining accurate stock movement records and support inventory control activities.
Reporting
- Submit weekly sales visit reports and monthly sales performance reports.
- Maintain updated customer records, sales pipelines, and opportunity tracking.
- Provide regular feedback to the Area Sales Manager on territory performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in raw materials, industrial products, or related industries.
- Good knowledge of the Nigerian market and customer landscape.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
